Mine Detection Dog Partnership Program

MLI donated six MDDs to Thailand in 2003 to improve the MDD capacity of the Thai Mine Action Center and assist the Government of Thailand in its progress towards a mine-free country. The sponsorship of these dogs was made possible by Royal Dutch Shell and MLI’s long-time partner, Laura J. Niles Foundation. These lifesaving canines searched 2 million square meters of mine-affected land in Thailand, saving countless lives and enabling the productive and safe use of land.
