MLI Donates Two MDDs to Sniff out Landmines in Bosnia

MLI, during a visit to Bosnia-Herzegovina, met with the Federal Administration of Civil Protection (FACP), to officially hand over to them MDDs Boa-Alma and Rio-Hunter. These two highly trained Mine Detection Dogs, trained by the Mine Detection Dog Center in Bosnia-Herzegovina, are the newest members of the FACP’s MDD Unit. These MDDs were sponsored by General Dynamics and the Edelmann family, both longtime and generous MLI supporters. To date, MLI has donated 46 Mine Detection Dogs to clearance organizations in Bosnia-Herzegovina, including 10 to the FACP. This latest MDD donation was implemented in partnership with ITF Enhancing Human Security. Hero dogs MDDs Boa-Alma and Rio-Hunter and their brave handlers will work to detect landmines in Bosnia-Herzegovina, saving and improving lives.
