The Power of Youth Taking Action!

Yoonsoo Kim, a 13-year-old Peace Through Sport Round 1 participant from Pennsylvania, created his own foundation to create a more sustainable world.  Blades for Better Project, established by Yoonsoo Kim, gives back to his fencing community, so future generations can enjoy the sport of fencing while keeping broken fencing blades out of landfills.  Each year, thousands of fencing blades break and end up in landfills creating long-term waste.  Kim’s foundation collects broken blades and recycles them through certified metal facilities.  Money raised by recycling the blades goes to foundations that help communities who may not have access to the sport of fencing.
